Inside Profiles
The inside profile is the detail along the inner edge of a framed cabinet door. It surrounds the center panel and helps determine whether the door reads as simple, transitional, or more decorative.

Profiles & Styles
Every profile has a character. Browse our catalog of door profiles, inside profiles, panel profiles, and edge options to find the right detail for your project.
Cabinet door profiles fall into three categories. Knowing the difference helps you choose the right combination for your style and budget.
The inside profile is the detail along the inner edge of a framed cabinet door. It surrounds the center panel and helps determine whether the door reads as simple, transitional, or more decorative.
The outside — or edge — profile is the detail shaped around the outer perimeter of the door. It changes the visible edge and should be selected with the door construction and hardware in mind.
On raised-panel doors, the panel profile is the shape that transitions from the center field toward the surrounding frame. Flat-panel and slab doors do not use the same raised-panel detail.
| Door Style | Typical Inside Profile | Panel Type | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shaker / Flat Panel | Simple framed detail | Flat center panel | Clean, transitional, or modern rooms |
| Raised Panel | More detailed framed edge | Raised center panel | Traditional or more formal rooms |
| Cathedral / Arch | Profile follows the arched rail | Arched panel configuration | Traditional door designs |
| Slab | No framed inside profile | Single flat face | Minimal or contemporary rooms |
